PACSGEAR Partners with Three Palm Software
Enables portable mammography records on CDs and DVDs
PLEASANTON, CA - (July 21, 2008) - PACSGEAR, Inc., the leader in document and multimedia connectivity for PACS/EHR, today announced a partnership with Three Palm Software, developers of leading-edge software products for mammography. PACSGEAR recently added MammoViewer™, an application designed specifically for viewing mammography images, to MediaWriter™, its line of affordable and reliable DICOM CD/DVD burning solutions. MammoViewer can be included on CDs, DVDs and portable media to let patients and physicians view mammography images, as well as electronic markers that are generated by computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) applications. These markers draw attention to regions of interest on mammograms.
"MammoViewer lets physicians view images, results and related annotations anywhere. Portability is an important issue in women’s imaging, and MammoViewer provides a useful addition to our DICOM distribution solution for mammography," said Brian J. Cavanaugh, President of PACSGEAR. "Creating standards-based CDs and DVDs using the IHE Mammography Image Profile is a great example of how PACSGEAR’s products can work in tandem with emerging electronic health records."
"We are pleased to partner with PACSGEAR," said Patrick Heffernan, CEO/CTO of Three Palm Software. "Our software complements PACSGEAR’s existing mammography solutions and provides a powerful and portable solution for women who want all of their mammography history in one place. Both companies share a vision of providing quality solutions that are simple to use, and MammoViewer fits nicely into that strategy."
