Comprehensive Document and Multimedia Connectivity Solution

PLEASANTON, CA – (November 21, 2006) - PACSGEAR, Inc., the leader in document and multimedia solutions for medical image management, today announced the successful introduction of PACSGEAR MediaSuite™ at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, a world-renowned medical center headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.

MediaSuite scans paper and includes electronic forms; digitizes plain film; and sends multimedia images such as JPEG and AVI/MPEG to any PACS from any department. MediaSuite features the ability to read external CDs created by the top ten vendors listed in the 2005 "Best in KLAS™" PACS report by KLAS Enterprises, LLC.

"Hospital file rooms and imaging centers are busy environments that need easy-to-use solutions to import media from a variety of different sources. PACSGEAR has been working with The Johns Hopkins Hospital to provide a comprehensive solution," said Brian J. Cavanaugh, President of PACSGEAR.

"PACSGEAR’s MediaSuite gives us a unified solution for scanning paper, digitizing prior film, and importing external JPEGs and image CDs. Our staff can operate the product with little or no training, and the ability to read multiple CD formats is very important to us," said Dr. James Philbin, Director, Radiology Center for Imaging Informatics at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. "MediaSuite allows us to give our physicians access to outside imaging studies anywhere in the Hopkin’s health system."
