PACSGEAR to Provide Medical Film Digitizing Solutions

PLEASANTON, CA - (July 25, 2006) - PACSGEAR, Inc., the leader in paper/film scanning and workflow solutions for medical document and image management, announced today that it has signed an OEM supply agreement with FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, a provider of medical imaging and information products and network systems.

The agreement allows FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA (Fuji) to resell PACSGEAR's industry-leading medical film digitizing products and services. It also offers Fuji's current customers the option to upgrade from their existing solution to the PACSGEAR product line.

"This agreement will provide Fuji's customers with a simple and easy-to-use solution for digitizing and sending radiographic film anywhere it is needed," said Brian J. Cavanaugh, President of PACSGEAR. "Organizations continue to recognize that existing, film-based medical images and associated content need to be seamlessly integrated with digital systems in order to realize the greatest clinical benefit."

"Digitizing films plays an important role in the PACS world, and PACSGEAR offers some unique advantages," said Bob Cooke, Fuji's Executive Director, Marketing and Product Management. "Plus, with the increasing adoption of digital mammography systems, the digitization of prior mammography films is going to play an important role in the adoption of digital imaging solutions for mammography, such as Fuji's Synapse® PACS. PACSGEAR offers us the best technology to provide this solution for our customers."
