PacsSCAN Film Optimized for Mammography Priors
PLEASANTON, CA - (August 30, 2005) - PACSGEAR, the market leader in document management solutions for the medical imaging market, announced today the release of version 2.0 of their popular PacsSCAN Film digitizing solution. The new release supports the DICOM Digital Mammography standard which enables hanging protocols for reading digital mammography studies, a major advantage for the interpreting radiologist.
"We are very pleased with the enhancements," says Ron Cornett, PACS Administrator for Radiology Ltd. in Tucson. "Because we can make our PACS hanging protocols more sophisticated with PacsSCAN Film, we have reduced radiologist read times by 30 seconds. Across the 40,000 mammography procedures we do each year, this equates to over eight weeks of physician time."
